In the process of making this animation I learned how to make landscapes in photoshop, I learned about the method of making the background move slower than the foreground to make it realistic, and also how to time the layers correctly so that some move slower than others.

The Chase
This project was a chase scene, the reqierments were to get from one place to another and not show the chaser directly until the end.
First me and my partner storyboarded each scene and we came up with the idea of doing a Scooby foo themed video, then we started to film the video. The process of filming took about four days. And when it comes to editing the hardest part was getting music for the video and the Scooby Doo sound effects. In the process of making this video I learned how put in music from I-tunes into videos and also how to brainstorm ideas.
If I could do this again i might reshoot some scenes to make it a bit more smoother which i wasn't able to do because of time. I would use the same timing, like ease in ease out style of filming.
I think that the process of making this video was a learning experience and a fun time all around.

Walking Animation
When i was trying to make my character walk i noticed that in my drawing his feet look like he is on his tip toes. The only problem with the keyframes that I had was the timing of the legs. At first they were moving at the same time, but after some tinkering I managed to make it look like he is actually walking
With the overall animation i learned how to time legs correctly. I wish i would of had time to redraw his feet so he is not on his tip toes and I wish i had time to animate the arms swinging along with his legs.

the 6 shot system
Extreme wide shot is used mainly to establish the setting around the character.
Close ups are used to show the emotion of the character.
Wide shots, again are mainly used to establish setting, while still showing what the character is doing.
Extreme close ups are used to show what the character is doing and show the smaller details that you might not be able to see with a wide or medium shot.
Sequencing in video is important because if you do not use sequencing then it will be confusing to the viewer. It will seem like the shots are not in order.

swagworm_tcollins
In this project we used the puppet pin tool in aftereffects to animate the worm. This project was fairly easy the hardest part was creating a shadow of the worm not the actual animation itself.
