Headphones music video
The goal of this project was to make a music video. My group and I chose to make a video for the song "Headphones" by Britt Nicole. While we were storyboarding we had the idea to have two separate story lines and have them come together at the end. Then we started to film the video, the biggest problem we had was filming the outside shots. During the week we were filming it was either cloudy or raining when in the previous shots it was sunny. And finally after we finished filming we began editing, the difficult part of this was picking which parts of the song to have in the video and matching them up with the correct shots.
During the process of editing i learned how to adjust the speed of the shot and how to adjust the opacity of a select shot. I also learned how to hold a camera stable without using a tripod. In addition I learned how to collaborate with teams more and how to make it so that we can get the project done in time.
If i could change one thing I would reshoot some of the outside shots to make it seem more realistic. I would do this because some of the outside bullying shots seem a bit odd to me, its a bit hard to explain, i just feel they needed to be better.
Next time I plan to still use more complex camera techniques. I would do this because the look and feel of the more complex shots are better to me than the average techniques.
In my next project I plan to still use the new adjustments I learned how to do in Final Cut Pro, as well as using the more complex camera techniques.
Overall I think that this is a pretty good video, it has more complex camera shots and it has more effects than my previous videos.
